Vegan Pure Worm Castings

Worm castings provide your plants with readily available nutrients, microbes and beneficial bacteria. Additionally, they improve soil structure by giving roots the space to grow fast and fibrous, which promotes rapid plant growth. Castings also allow for excellent drainage in soil so roots don’t become waterlogged or develop root rot. As well as improving aeration, earthworm castings also increase soil’s water retention capacity, as they contain absorbent organic matter that holds only the necessary amounts of water needed by the roots.

We carry premium, pure, pest-free castings from composting earth worms that are fed a vegetarian diet of grains.

Worm Casting Water Test

Often, worm castings are sold with undigested materials still in the mix. You can test for this by scooping some castings into a jar, filling it with water, shaking and letting everything settle. The good stuff, pure worm poo, will sink the the bottom, while undigested materials float to the top. As you can see above we conducted our own little test with great results.
