Organic fertilizers, as defined by WSDA (Washington State Department of Agriculture), are registered products which have a significant/documented NPK (nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium) percentage. The product can be a single ingredient or a blended product. Custom blends are considered registered under blanket registration when prepared by a WSDA registered company. This is our simple interpretation of the WSDA code.
Certainly, there are other definitions for organic fertilizer, but we narrow the definition to the above to be in compliance with our local government.
